Getting older sucks. You can keep the wisdom. So every journey starts out with the first step, This journey started a few days ago with the first step being uneventful, other than me asking myself "Why?" "Do I really want to get back into this thing?' A long, long time ago on a trail (not) so far away.... My first run of the year was always a 10 miler. No matter what the pace. No matter what the pain. 10 miles or bust. Never was that much of a problem. That was in the 80's and early 90's. Since ... Continue reading ...
2 months and no mass quantities of web site work. Now that was a true experiment in e-willpower. Every now and again I'll pick something that I feel consumes too much of my time and place it on hold while redirecting the time I would have used, elsewhere. Elsewhere this time was invested in 3 areas: 1) trying to help my son Joseph make sure that he WILL graduate from high school with his senior class. 2) Keeping in touch with Chris, Laura and Aidan (in Japan), they'll be home for good by (apr... Atlanta, Georgia December 1972. I was about to turn 11 and my brother Dennis 10. We were on holiday vacation with our parents visiting with our sister Jackie's family. As with most things that are tucked away in this head I can't remember things in great detail. Only bits and peaces, here and there, often times needing a jolt to stir something that had long since been abandoned. So as in previous BLOserGs ( as I'm sure with future ones also ) I post a out clause here stating that this isn't t... Continue reading ...
Just a quick one here. Somewhat in line with my "WEATHER CONVERSATION THEORY". Is it just me or does this happen to anyone else? After a certain change in the calendar on a scale of either Monthly (June {05} turns into July {06}) OR in my case more commonly Yearly (2008 turns into 2009), I find myself writing the old month OR year for one or two days into the new month OR year. Two examples are:1) on January 02,2009 I'm still writing 2008 -usually I don't screw up the month-just the year. 2)... Continue reading ...
It is impossible to get though even one December without hearing the mention of how they are trying to take the Christ out of Christmas, when they shorten it to Xmas. Not being religious in even the loosest definition of the word, I had never put much thought into the subject and what little thought I did reserve for it more often than not went down the "They're just trying to make an easy abbreviation for the holiday" road.
Then the other day when I had nothing else of greater importance to d... Continue reading ...
Well I hope this time I remember not to DELETE my BLOserG page. I was trying to make the navigation a pinch more easy for all to move around when for some unknown reason I must have thought by pressing the "DELETE" prompt I would be updating the site,
Freak no. Also I must have thought the "WARNING" screen stating "Are you really sure you want to delete this blog page?, By deleting this page you will be erasing all the work that you've saved. After pressing the "YES delete this page" prompt, ... Continue reading ...
